Play Sports Network - the technology company that manages Global Cycle Network, Global Mountain Bike Network, Global Triathlon Network - is hiring a DevOps Engineer.

** Optionally, you may work remotely 1-2 days each week, once up to speed **

We're building new capabilities in data engineering, mobile apps, digital content delivery and e-commerce, underpinned by data captured from across the world of cycling. We're new launching services anticipated to be adopted by millions globally and this is a unique opportunity to help us prepare to scale.

This is a newly created position enabling small development teams to move quickly, while orchestrating our workflow, infrastructure and production services. It's a collaborative and flat team culture, and a near greenfield situation. We can equally consider someone ready for a step up; our Data Engineer has laid good foundations and can pair with you along the way as you build out.

We're always open to new things and you can influence where we go and how we get there. At all times you'll have a lot of freedom in design, technology choice and influence over the roadmap.

We're looking for

  • Someone ready to inform, shape and run a dependable, attentive, approach to DevOps

  • Adaptability, from a fast-learner keen to hone skills in automation

  • A good understanding of CI / CD principles, methods and tooling

  • Good abilities in GNU / Linux administration

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes - we can help you get up to speed if this is new to you

  • An interest in preparing to scale production services
