Linux Engineer - Chippenham - £35,000 to £45,000 + 30 days holiday An international software & technology provider in Chippenham is urgently seeking a new Linux Engineer / Systems Administrator to take responsibilty for their server platforms and tech operations. They are at an interesting stage of their technical development - upgrading to the latest versions of Linux, upgrading their backend and database tech stack and moving further into DevOps and automation processes and you will be at the front of that change. This is a varied role where you will be responsible for the Linux infrastructure and technical operations that underpin the delivery of their core software products to customers. You will provide the internal Linux Administration and configuration of the technical environment. You will support the software development team on application deployments and the migration of customers onto the new tech stack. As the successful candidate you must have: - A strong track record as a Linux Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator - Experience with SQL (flexible on the variant MySQL / MariaDB / Oracle PLSQL / SQL Server will all be considered) - Any experience of Ansible would be an advantage, but not essential - Any experience of Java would be an advantage, but not essential - Excellent communication skills and a personable , collaborative approach You will be rewarded with an excellent basic salary of circa £35,000 - £45,000 depending on skills and experience plus benefits that include 30 days holiday.
