Coventry based Reporting Accountant permanent role, Up to £30,000 plus bonus, study support and other benefits.

Hays Senior Finance are working in an exclusive partnership with this medium sized business, based in Coventry, to recruit a Reporting Accountant. Sat within the finance team, reporting to senior management, we are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to support the management teams with accounting advice and to provide a controlling steer. Whilst also supporting the wider business, you will liaise with Directors, and Senior Managers to ensure costs are budgeted, analysed, controlled and reported correctly.
Your new role
Demonstrating a sound knowledge of accounting and controlling you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Finance and Controlling. You will be accountable for analysing and producing monthly cost reports/results and communicate the information openly to the UK management team, providing advice and support to ensure effective control of company costs. You will be responsible for overseeing the annual planning process ensuring all information is coordinated with Department Managers before final approval by the Board of Management.
You will also be required to provide accurate and timely financial management information, with analysis and comments. Other responsibilities include: Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, parts stock analysis including stock takes, post-sale profit calculations, accruals, as well as responsibility for approval of the coding on invoices and requisitions.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a self-motivated and proactive individual, with the ability to lead and influence others, and you will hold a recognised accounting qualification (AAT minimum), with experience of dealing and interacting with senior management (including non-finance). You will have strong attention to detail with interpersonal, communication and organisation skills. SAP experience is desirable, along with the ability to provide commercial analysis of financial proposals and communicate with management confidently and credibly.

You will receive a basic salary of £25,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience, as well as 25 days holiday entitlement plus statutory UK holidays, a bonus of up to 10%, private health care & life assurance, Group Personal Pension plan starting at 5%, access to company car scheme and free parking on-site. Study support is also negotiable. The standard working hours are 8:30 - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, with occasional home working.
