Location: Mill Rythe, Hayling Island, PO11 0PB

Salary: £25,000 per annum DOE

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, hours between 08.30-17.30 but this can vary dependant on the business needs

They need you to be the person who delivers delight and safety when their guests are splashing about at the pool or taking part in the wide range of activities and facilities they have to offer. Our client is constantly reinvesting, improving and adding to their facilities, currently Mill Rythe is benefitting from a phased swimming pool refurbishment.

About the Sports & Leisure Manager role:

Our client want their guests to have a whale of a time whether that be down at the pool or on many of the activities they offer. As Sports and Leisure Manager, you will make this happen by ensuring their leisure activities and pool facilities operate at the highest levels whilst leading a team of qualified lifeguards and activity assistants.

Sports & Leisure Manager Responsibilities:

Working as part of their slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will oversee the management of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, high ropes, climbing, abseiling, archery and any more other fantastic leisure activities they have to offer. You’ll be looking after everyone’s safety, ensuring your areas of responsibility are safe, clean and meeting legal requirements and NOP’s. You will be responsible for managing the programme and financial income for the Sports and Leisure department.

You’ll also be leading by example: being incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and 'mucking in’ when you need to. This is a great opportunity for an experienced operator who is seeking a challenge to enhance their career to the next level.

Sports & Leisure Manager Requirements:

1 year experience in a similar role
A current NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
A current PPO (Pool Plant Operations) qualification
Great interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly
Proven leadership skills
NPMQ (National Pool Management Qualification) (Desirable)
Trainer/assessor qualifications (Desirable)
Experience in the hospitality sector (Desirable)
First Aid Qualification (Desirable)
