Job Purpose
Age UK are seeking an experienced Finance Systems Analyst to join the team in London and support our Finance Systems Manager with the maintenance and development of our Group Business Intelligence (BI) Solution (Infor).
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Systems Analyst to join the FP&A team in Finance as we look to enhance the development and rollout of the Dashboard reporting interface across Age UK Group. You will be responsible for the day to day running of our BI Solution (Infor), delivering a great technical support service for the business, along with deputising for the Finance Systems Manager on occasion.
In the long-term the successful candidate will help to drive the development of a Business Intelligence / Dashboard environment.
Main Responsibilities
• Maintain Infor BI solution - Day to day running, maintaining data structures/cubes/scenario management (forecasts/budgets/KPIs), month end systems process tasks including Group Consolidation, Financial Statements, Management Reports and reconciliation.
• Manage and maintain SQL queries, process mapping, data import jobs and scheduling for Group Reporting as directed by the Finance Systems Manager.
• Write ad-hoc, static reports and financial modelling for business users and senior management as and when required.
• Provide accounting and technical support to Finance on user queries.
• Test and document patches/bug fixes prior to roll-out.
• Maintain the user access and system administration ensuring that any faults are tracked/recorded and resolved within an agreed timeframe.
• Liaise with 3rd Party Consultants as and when required to allow a stable and robust systems environment.
• Troubleshooting – investigating systems issues as they arise and implementing solutions.
• Provide user training as requested.
• Assist with moving to a leaner automated system and eliminate spreadsheet reporting at the Group level.
• Support the Finance Systems Manager with roll-out of a dashboard environment, developing/maintaining reports and eventually the roll-out of the budgeting/forecast workflow module.
• Work towards improving systems efficiency and value to the organisation.
• Provide support on projects and controls as directed by the Finance Systems Manager.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential requirements:
• Experience as a Finance Systems Analyst or Assistant.
• Proven work history with finance systems administration and maintenance.
• Strong understanding and experience of implementing new workflow tools and running systems tests.
• Worked in an end user environment and able to manage business expectations.
• VBA/SQL literate or other query-based language.
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA finalist (nearing the end of studies) or qualified.
Desirable:
• Systems admin/management experience of Infor and/or other CPM/BI solutions.
