Sales Manager for the Transport Sector

Our client is a leader in providing high performance network, data collection & analytics services to the Transport Sector. They are seeking an ambitious Sales Manager to head up and increase sales, specifically around Passenger and Staff WiFi Access Systems.
The role is Field-Based/Home Office/Remote; the ideal candidate will already be working within the Transport sector selling successfully and evangelising the application of next-generation communications technologies in this space.
Being instrumental in the expansion of the company’s current Transport portfolio, your role will be to target specific opportunities throughout the sector and to develop new business opportunities through on-site customer meetings, presentations and collaborative account management. We seek a self-motivated, dynamic, ambitious, entrepreneurial, hardworking and passionate individual to join this successful UK company.
Passenger and Staff WiFi Access Systems
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing and targeting specific opportunities throughout the Transport sector
* Keeping abreast of all franchise bids and influencing the adoption of WiFi solutions
* To identify new opportunities throughout the Transport sector as a sales Hunter
* Presenting accurate sales forecasts on a monthly basis and maintaining a strong opportunity pipeline
* To regularly meet or exceed, sales and gross margin targets
* Attending exhibitions, trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
* Working with current and identifying potential new, strategic partnerships
* Expanding the existing Rail footprint into Bus, Tram, Airport, Cruise and other passenger terminals
* Building-out sales of Media, Advertising, CIS and Pay-Delay type services
Skills and Experience Requirements:
* Strong pipeline management skills, CRM discipline and time management
* Knowledgeable of solution-selling techniques and can demonstrate a successful sales history of Software and System Integration solutions into large enterprise or public sector
* Proven track record and consistently achieving sales targets for the last three years
* Ability to deliver high quality sales presentations to prospective clients
* Experienced at CxO level engagement
* Excellent closing skills
* Empathy with Transport sector specific problems
* Ability to make technical presentations to match Client needs to Company solution
* Strong communication skills with the internal project delivery teams to ensure both sales objectives and Client’s expectations are met
