An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Credit Controller to join this prestigious organisation located in central Basingstoke.

The successful candidate will need to be able to deal with difficult and complex queries, as well as finding solutions to existing process issues.

The role will involve:

* Full ownership of aged debt in the region of 2 million in value and 2000 accounts

* Handling customer queries and passing on to operational areas where necessary

* Cash posting and allocation daily with weekly banking

* Processing daily refunds

* Liaising with other departments, account managers and implementing any perceived area of process improvement

* Covering for other members of the team over holidays

* Providing bad debt provision monthly

* Other ad hoc tasks

Responsibilities

* Controlling the debt on the ledger in line with the company strategy

* Improving direct customer relationships

* Ensuring all queries are resolved fully, as quickly as possible

* Regular updates to the business with the ageing of the debt ledger

* Ensuring cash allocation is up to date and in line with company policy

* Holiday cover of other activities in the finance department

The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player, who is enthusiastic with a can do attitude and the ability to work using their own initiative. An ambitious out going person with a hands on approach will be ideal for this role.
