My client based in Derby design and manufacture a range of complex networking products that are sold all over the world.

Due to expansion they currently require a 1st Line Support Engineer - Windows to join their team and this position will be providing first line support for the company's customer base.

Key responsibilities of the 1st Line Support Engineer - Windows job:
*Manage assigned customer issues using defined company processes and tools. Document, monitor and prioritise cases whilst triaging and reviewing new customer issues and escalating to the back line engineers when necessary.
*Set up and replicate customer configurations in the lab and connect remotely to customer systems to resolve known issues or provide configuration assistance.
*Occasional travel to customer sites to install or troubleshoot complex systems

Skills that would be beneficial for the 1st Line Support Engineer - Windows job:
*Experience working in a Windows environment
*Knowledge of Active Directory
*Proven experience of customer service skills and of providing 1st line technical support
*Any knowledge of SAN / NAS storage systems would be beneficial
*Any understanding of Linux or Unix Server operating systems would be beneficial
