Accounts Payable Assistant Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

* Main point of contact for day to day AP queries from 3rd party Vendors

* Accurate input of all expenditure onto Compleat and SUN including correct VAT treatment

* Taking ownership for the accurate coding of all invoices, with a 'right first time’ approach

* Ensure that company policy on cash and credit card expenses is adhered to

* Tracking priority creditors and proactively ensuring payment is made within terms

* Production of weekly payment runs in GBP and currency

* Raising of ad hoc payments as required

* Supplier statement reconciliations

* Responsible for the upkeep and integrity of the Creditor Ledger

* Liaising with IPC Europe staff and 3rd party vendors to resolve issues


* Download of monthly credit card transactions and ensure timely upload into Compleat

* Maintaining weekly filing of all paper work

* Monthly Revaluation of Trade creditors

* Other ad hoc analysis as required

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

* AAT studier or at least 1 years’ experience working within the finance function of an SME

* Multi-tasking

* Attention to detail

* Strong data manipulation/analytical skills

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills at all levels of an organisation and external stakeholders

* Able to present complex data concisely

Personal qualities:

* Proactive, keen to learn

* Team player

* Willingness to take on individual as well as collective responsibility

* Able to maintain accuracy and focus under pressure

* Display a positive, professional attitude always
