Access and Assessment Team
In this role you will either be performing face to face assessments or screening and triaging urgent/routine referrals in the duty team. Staff are expected to work independently and/or as part of a team depending on the role you are performing, however we work as a wider multi-disciplinary team and support is available daily when required. We are looking for individuals with a good knowledge in mental health and the ability to perform core assessments and risk assessments. If triage is new to you, it is possible to gain these skills in the team. It is a friendly work environment with a huge emphasis on staff wellbeing and although working clinically with some acutely unwell service users, the workload is carefully paced to ensure that the staff wellbeing is maintained, that everyone is supported and working safely and that service users and referrers experience a good service. The ability to drive is ideal but not essential.
To be eligible for the role you must have the below requirements;
- Must have a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- Must be registered with NMC.
- Must have experience working as a community psychiatric nurse and if you do happen to have experience working in an Access and Assessment Team then you will be ideal for the vacancy.
- Demonstrates high standards in oral and written communication.
- This position offers hours from 08.00-20.00 or 20.00-08.00 and flexible on days working.
