Hales Home Care have an exciting opportunity for a Care Manager based in Harrow (HA1 2BE) to lead our established Extra Care service.

The Care Manager will undertake a hands-on role and take responsibility for ensuring a quality service delivery to meet the individual needs of the residents/service users, to enable them to live as independently as possible. The Care Manager post includes time spent "on shift” leading the care team, providing care to the clients and undertaking assessments, reviews, etc., as required. The Care Manager will lead the team of senior carers/team leaders to ensure care delivery remains at the required standards. They will have the additional responsibility of overseeing and developing the team of team leaders and care assistants and also for establishing appropriate relationships with all tenants’ families, professionals and agencies involved with the service and promoting community engagement.

Applications are invited from individuals with team management and care delivery experience within the health and social care sector, ideally domiciliary care or in an extra care setting. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills and a proven track record in maintaining CQC compliance and achieving continuous development of care services.

The role requires a candidate who will be able to use their own initiative and adopt appropriate leadership styles to maintain effective working relationships. A sound understanding of good care principles is required to operate and develop the care scheme within the regulations of the Care Act.
