Location: Reading (central) occasionally London (Piccadilly Circus)

Start: Immediate

Term: Initial 3 months then subject to renewal

Rate: Not to exceed £400/day

Function: Vendor Management

Qualifications: desirable- ITIL Foundation, CIPS Foundation, and/or 4+ years' experience. German/French fluency desirable Experience of start-up or merger environment desirable

Description: A competent resource required to support Vendor Management in an exercise to collate outsourced managed services contracts, create a database, apply vendor governance and analyse costs, areas of risk, areas for consolidation etc. Service areas include: Service Management, Service Desk, Infrastructure, Applications, Business Intelligence, Network.

Person spec: IT supply chain (telecoms and technology also useful), sourcing, procurement and commercial experience in an administrative, project management capacity. Candidate must be able to work independently, understand how companies are structured and where to go for information. Be a flexible and diplomatic communicator, creative thinker who can persist in obtaining information, personal resilience in an environment undergoing change. Some of the tasks that may be required:

  • Local IT suppliers to our businesses
    • Chase down local supplier contracts
    • Pull key data and establish a contracts database
    • Translation will be necessary (through google initially)
    • Segmentation analysis
    • Consolidation recommendations liaising with Service Delivery, business case cost/benefit
    • Implementation with Procurement
  • Non-SAP Applications
    • ~1,000 local applications
    • Track down contract documents, SW licences, etc.
    • Pull key data and establish a contracts database
    • Translation will be necessary
    • Segmentation analysis
    • Consolidation recommendations liaising with Service Delivery, business case cost/benefit
    • Implementation with Procurement, Service Delivery and Infosys
  • Mobile telecom contracts
    • Analysis in hand
    • Sourcing and savings recommendations due in April
    • Support Procurement to obtain approval to proceed
    • Implement sourcing with Procurement
  • Review selected supplier and associated contracts to assess value, need and service quality plus any client management improvement requirements (e.g. price check, governance and reporting)
