Our client is an independent registered housing association which owns and manages 4,450 rented homes, 450 sheltered housing properties, 300 leasehold properties, 75 shared ownership properties, 26 commercial units and 62 homeless units.

Due to a promotion within the team, they have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join them. You will oversee the day to day activities of the Sales Ledger within the Finance Team, as well as helping out with the Purchase Ledger when required. In addition to maintaining the Sales Ledger you will be expected to monitor KPIs relating to the sales ledger and work to improve these, where possible.

You will be able to carry out the main functions of the Sales Ledger confidently with some knowledge of Purchase Ledger processes to provide cover efficiently and accurately.

Whilst the largest part of the role is the Sales Ledger, you will also be required to complete balance sheet reconciliations and other ad hoc tasks to support the finance function.

Ideally, you will have high attention to detail and experience of working within a fast paced team or organisation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Great interpersonal skills are essential for the debt collecting aspect of this role.
