Exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join an established accountancy practice in Taunton.

To be a key member of the qualified staff within the veterinary team working alongside client managers and Partners to provide a high level of service to the firm’s clients.

Duties and responsibilities

Preparation of the accounts for the firm’s larger and more complex clients including consolidated results for multiple entities

Involvement within business sale transaction including assisting with due diligence enquiries and reviews

Assistance with ad-hoc tasks required by clients such as cash flow projections, valuations and tax planning reviews.

Reviewing of accounts files prepared by junior members of the team and providing feedback on the quality of the file prepared

Handle client queries and proactively advise them on a wide range of financial and commercial matters

Bring matters to the attention of the partners

Share in staff management and development responsibilities for the junior members of the team

Deliver excellent client service

Organise own time and workload efficiently and effectively

Qualifications and experience

Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification, ACA or ACCA preferred

Previous experience of working in a practice environment

Possess general IT proficiency including the use of Microsoft Office packages

Possess a high standard of ethics, both professional and personal

Be able to work well in a successful and busy team

Have excellent communication skills

Have a high level of professionalism.

Be able to organise own time and workload efficiently and effectively

Having an attitude characterised as enthusiastic and positive, self-motivated and focused
