A leading international Corporate and Investment bank is looking for a Portfolio Risk & Risk Appetite SME to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
Your new role
As a member of the Risk Management function, your main focus will be to implement an enhanced Portfolio Risk Management Framework and Risk Appetite Framework.
As part of Portfolio Risk Management, you will develop, implement and document enhancements to the Portfolio Risk Framework (such as policies, processes and procedures). You will monitor and review portfolio risk across EMEA, report portfolio level credit risk at product/sector/industry/country level, escalate exceptions where appropriate, and liaise with other departments and stakeholders to enhance credit risk management processes and reduce portfolio risk. You will proactively resolve areas of ambiguity in the framework, develop and implement controls and provide challenge around how portfolio-level credit risk should be managed.
As part of Risk Appetite Framework related activities, you will develop and implement the regional Risk Appetite Framework (also covering Concentration Risk Management, as well as related policies and procedures, MI, exceptions and escalations) and document enhancements to Framework. You will review and analyse Economic Capital numbers to ensure data quality prior to implementation of the enhanced framework. Furthermore, you will address audit concerns and control gaps as part of enhancements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant experience in Credit Risk Management, Portfolio Risk Management (including measurements of Bank's portfolio data (e.g. EC, PoD, LGD, UGD, RSQ), Risk Appetite and Concentration Risk within Corporate and Investment Banking.
