This is a full-time position, beginning after Easter holidays and will be paid using the main pay-scale for Teaching Assistants, dependant on relative experience.

The successful Year 6 Teaching Assistant will assist in the overall support of the class teacher. The role will also involve 1:1 mentoring and small groups focusing on literacy and numeracy. The main aim of this role is to raise attainment prior to the May SAT's.

The successful candidate must have:
*Recent Teaching Assistant experience, preferably in KS2
*An understanding of the way that children learn and progress
*An understanding of the National Curriculum
*A caring and nurturing approach
*The ability to identify which subjects need work for individual pupils.

*Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification
*This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
*Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
*You must have the legal right to work in the UK
