Central London

We are working with a high-tech engineering organisation that are predominantly based in the US however they are growing rapidly and looking to expand in the UK. With this expansion they are looking to establish themselves and build a team of talented engineers in London, this is a great opportunity to join a hi-tech electronics company at a very exciting time.

They are currently based in a small office in central London which has the feel of a start-up but with the infrastructure and backing. They will be looking to move to larger offices in the near future to accommodate for their growth plans, this will be in a similar area. This rare opportunity will offer great progression routes and a chance for someone to bring their experience and knowledge and develop the role.

They are looking for a Certification & Compliance Engineer to join a small, technical team and lead the certification and compliance processes of all products required for the EMEA region. you will often collaborate with compliance engineers based in the US so communication is key. You will also need to work alongside test houses so this could occasionally require you to travel.

In this key role you will liaise and manage multiple external test and certification bodies and ensure cost effective and timely product approvals. The position won’t require any hands-on testing, but you will need a strong knowledge of the CE certification process and testing requirements for industrial electronic products.

Some key requirements will be…

- Degree in Engineering or equivalent in years’ experience
- 10+ years of industry experience
- Experience of the ATEX/IECEx certification process, procedures, protection methods and testing requirements for industrial electrical products
- Negotiation with external test houses and certification bodies
- Maintain up to date in house knowledge and understanding of the national and international requirements of safety & constructional standards
- Experienced in the development of budgets
