Electronic Test Technician need for an innovative market leading company in their field based on Wrexham Industrial Estate.

The company's equipment is installed worldwide in academia, governmental and industrial research labs, and serves a wide range of applications. The main role of the for the right person will be to test Printed Circuit Board Assemblies to published test procedures, fault finding and repairing as necessary. An opportunity exists for the right candidate to become responsible for the departments day to day running, looking after processes/procedures, scheduling work and reporting out to other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Observing, adhering to and enforcing Company rules and procedures with regards to Health & Safety.

2. Observing, adhering to and enforcing quality procedures to satisfy BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

3. Observing, adhering to and enforcing all general Company rules and policies.

4. To test low volume high value printed circuit board assemblies to published test procedures using a variety of test jigs/fixtures and manual test equipment.

5. To fault find down to component level.

6. To repair/replace faulty components using soldering irons/hot air pencil.

7. To review and make recommendations for the smooth running of the department, working closely with Electronics Design department to make sure test procedures are available to team members.

8. To maintain stocks of shop floor materials and consumables and their appropriate storage.

9. To work with the Electronic Test Manager to ensure all test equipment is maintained and serviced appropriately.

10. Carry out continual re-evaluations, risk assessments and ensuring prompt action is taken and training be given whenever appropriate, maintaining work areas and equipment for the purpose of ensuring a safe organised working environment.

11. To have regard for the duty of care of information (with particular reference to the Data Protection Act) gained during the course of employment that relates to other employees.

Skills:

- Sound technical knowledge and preferably a HNC/HND in Electronics

- Ability to work by yourself and as part of a team is essential

The company benefits:

- The salary is £26000-£28000

- 37.5 hour working week - Monday to Friday 9-5 (no weekend working, no shift working)

- Company pension scheme. If the employee contributes a minimum 3% the Company contributes 6%

- 22 days annual leave plus factory shutdown for the period between Christmas and New Year
