Person Specification

You will need to be a dedicated English Teacher who has previously taught or worked directly with pupils who have Special Educational Needs and a history of 'Good' or better teaching. The school needs a teacher who has the ability to work independently or as part of team, building bridges with their peers and students. The Headteacher wants to recruit a teacher with a passion for their subject and it's curriculum that they're eager to share with their pupils. You will be a capable individual who can motivate the class with your creative and engaging lessons and bring your creative approach to every lesson.

About the Role as an English Teacher

In this English Teacher post you will be teaching within the school's well-equipped English Department and you will be teaching with the full support of a Teaching Assistant. You will be fully supported in your role by the Headteacher and SLT and the school can offer first class training and CPD options. You will have the opportunity to engage with students and staff in a holistic manner to achieve exceptional results in a supportive environment. By listening carefully to the advice of your mentor, an experienced M, you will be in the perfect position to develop key teaching skills. Support will be provided by a friendly Head of English and an experienced teacher will be on hand to provide you with close mentoring and support.
