We have an exciting opportunity for Electrical Design Engineers (Compliance) to join our busy Design Department. The role will be based within the Peterborough and/or Northampton area.

The Role:
Working as the Electrical Designer you will have come from an electrical design background within an industrial (manufacturing) environment. Your main role will be the design of panel and field installations from concept to on-site commissioning relating to automated control systems.
Working Hours: 40 Hours per week (Monday-Friday).
Skills / Experience Required:
You must have knowledge / experience of:
* Electrical design within an industrial installation / maintenance environment
* Familiar with safe working practices (PTW, RA, MS etc.)
* On-site commissioning relating to automated control systems (preferable)
* Machine safety and safety circuits
* Understanding of component SIL and machine PL ratings would be an advantage, however training can be provided
* PLC control wiring systems, instrumentation and motor starter control types knowledge would be preferred
* Knowledge of AutoCAD design software application
* Generation of panel layouts and bills of materials
* LV distribution and cable calculations using Amtech software
* Generating electrical control schematic diagrams
* Generating instrument loop diagrams
* Generating PLC wiring diagrams and I/O schedules
* Machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments to BS EN ISO13849/60261
* Preparation of commissioning & technical documents
Qualifications:
You must hold an electrical qualification (i.e. City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ3 / HNC) together with City & Guilds 17th Edition.
