Learning Support Assistant / Halton / £63 - £70 per day / Full time

Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a Pupil Referral Unit in Halton. This teaching assistant role will start as soon as possible, however the school will wait for the ideal candidate. The position will be full-time, supporting within both KS3 and KS4 classes.

The desired Teaching Assistant must be passionate about building relationships with pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties, whereby a mainstream setting may have not been appropriate. The desired Teaching Assistant does not have to have experience of working within a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) setting, but must be comfortable in assisting pupils of a secondary age. Experience of supporting within Nurture Groups, taking part in Forest School activities and having a potential Sports interest would be highly welcomed.

This school was graded Good by Ofsted in its most recent inspection. The school is "a safe and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to reach their potential ."

To be considered for the position of a Teaching Assistant you must:

Hold a Level 3 qualification in childcare

Have a passion for assisting pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Hold GCSE Maths and English at Grade C
