Cooper Golding is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Laboratory Manager for our client who provide industry-leading engineering services across the UK.

What is the purpose of the EHS Laboratory Manager?

The EHS Manager will plan and direct activities, overseeing and managing all aspects of the EHS management systems, including but not limited to BS EN ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 18000 National, International and Customer Specific Approvals. The EHS Manager will also be cultivating an atmosphere of continuous improvement and an ethos of open communication that embraces vision, mission and strategy of business.

What will you do as the EHS Laboratory Manager?

* Ensure that all aspects of the EHS is completes in compliance with regulations, specifications, manuals, procedures and company policy

* Ensure all internal EHS audit programmes are maintained and up to date

* Prepare reports and communicate to all staff at the monthly staff engagement meetings

* Manage staff levels within the laboratory and EHS departments

* Manage and develop the laboratory department

* Drive departmental KPI’s and ensure they are measured, displayed, maintained and communicated to all staff

* Communicate with other departments, such as engineering, sales etc. to deliver improvement actions on time

What skills and experience will you have as the EHS Laboratory Manager?

* Good management skills

* Chemistry degree would be desired

* Experience working within a laboratory environment
