Translink require a Compliance Training Manager to ensure a robust training and competency programme is rolled out staff within the Permanent Way Department. Together, with the management in the Permanent Way Department you will manage Permanent Way training and assessment across all disciplines and grades.
Translink is Northern Ireland's main public transport provider with a strategy to maintain and grow passenger and network capacity, with plans to introduce higher speed service, track upgrades, station refurbs and new builds, refurbishment of trains and upgrade ticketing systems.

As Compliance Training Manager your new role will include but not be limited to the following:
* To manage Permanent Way training and assessment across all disciplines and grades.
* To procure and manage a team of training providers and undertake the role of Project Manager for these contracts.
* Develop, manage, and update a Competency Management System.
* Manage a small team and provide all line management functions for this team.
* Work in partnership with the Track Engineering Manager to develop robust plans for both initial and ongoing competency assessments.
* Assist in accident and incident investigation.

Essential experience should include the following:
* Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a railway environment with responsibility for the development, delivery and review of training material.
* Minimum of a third level qualification or equivalent within a training, management or engineering discipline.
* Possess approved safety certifications, including IOSH Managing Safety and NEBOSH Occupational Health & Safety (Level 3).
* Experience of budget control.
* Good knowledge of railway maintenance standards, practice and legislation.
It would be desirable if candidates had the following:
* Possess a NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management (NEBOSH Level 6).
* Knowledge of permanent way working practices and procedures.
