Job Title: Payroll Assistant
Department: Payroll
Location: Manchester
Salary: to £20.000 – £22.000 depending on experience
System used: SAP

Our client is a well-known business in Manchester. They are looking to recruit an Payroll Assistant to cover a 12 month FTC

You will be working as part of a team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in accordance with statutory policies

Skills Required
Duties will include

Preparing and submitting c payrolls
Responding to employee regarding possible discrepancies
Maintaining and documenting payroll records
Help support Payroll Administrators
Prepare and submit various payrolls
Maintain and document payroll records
Communicate with HMRC
Calculate Auto Enrolment
Attend meetings when needed
Help support Payroll Administrators and team members
Calculate Maternity/Paternity/Shared Parental leave
Calculate Statutory Sickness Pay & holiday pay
Manually calculate TAX and NI

About you:

Good understanding of tax codes and tax code changes
18 month’s payroll experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Professional telephone manner
Strong excel skills
An understanding of HMRC regulations and payroll requirements
Good Excel
SAP an advantage
