About the role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the ownership and improvement of Anchor Hanover’s balance sheet reporting process. You will be required to develop a method of reporting balance sheet highlights, including risks and opportunities and review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations on a rolling basis.
You will need to ensure that both assets under construction and fixed assets are correctly accounted for and all additions, disposals and transfers between entities are correctly accounted for, on a timely basis. You will own the transfer of work in progress, and other costs between the legal entities, maintaining inter-company balance reconciliations at all times.
You will need to prepare and post month end journals, reports, budgets and forecasts around fixed assets, intercompany transactions, group consolidation and any other ad hoc requirements maintaining the integrity of the group accounts.
You will manage the financial accounting team of three, which will include standard line management duties.
We are going through an exciting time following our recent merger, and so this opportunity will require your involvement in building new processes fit for the merged business.
You will be a qualified Accountant with strong knowledge of financial reporting and strong financial control. You will have a high degree of attention to detail but ability to see the bigger picture and use innovative thinking to problem solve.
You will have strong technical skills in both financial reporting and financial control, and you will have been in a similar role with over 3 years’ experience.
Experience of Agresso would be advantageous.
