Salary between £23,173 and £28,963 depending on experience and qualifications

We are looking for a Humanities Teacher to work in our established Independent School. Working within our Greenfields Division, we require an experienced and creative teacher who is passionate about teaching.
We specialise with Looked After Children who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school and as such many of the pupils have social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD).
This school offers academic and vocational avenues to their students with the aim of integration, and as such, an experienced teacher who has worked in a similar setting would be extremely useful. As part of this role you would also be expected to liaise closely with care and therapy.
This role requires a firm but fair role model who can demonstrate a commitment to using active learning approaches and development of independent learning skills. The ideal candidate will offer pastoral support and be able to clearly focus on the individual needs of our learners and respond positively to change. You will liaise effectively with colleagues and external agencies, maintaining exceptional professional standards at all times.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering outstanding lessons in which all learners are included, engaged and make good progress. Your experience will demonstrate a commitment to using active learning approaches and development of independent learning skills.
Ideally, you will have experience in teaching History and Geography as these are the core areas we will be focussing on. Please note, this is not a full job description and one will be supplied in the short-listing process.
