JOB TITLE: Legal Secretary
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on previous experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 09:00am - 5:15pm

Taylor Walton is a growing and ambitious law firm with offices in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. The Firm provides legal services and solutions to commercial businesses and individual clients. A new opportunity has arisen at their Luton office for a Legal Secretary to join their thriving existing Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Real Estate departments.
THE ROLE:
The Legal Secretary role will require you to provide transcription and administrative support to fee earners in a number of legal departments including Residential Conveyancing and the Commercial Real Estate.
Key Responsibilities for the Legal Secretary role in Luton, Bedfordshire include:
* Audio and digital dictation typing / transcription
* Production and amendments of letters and legal documents
* Handling telephone and other general queries
* competent use of the firm's document management system and accurate data entry
* Providing support to Solicitors and carrying out client liaison where needed
* Other general ad hoc office duties such as photocopying and filing
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will be experienced having previously worked within a busy office environment in a Secretarial / Administrative role and must have previous experience within the Legal industry. Although not essential, candidates with previous Legal Property experience will be at an advantage. You must have excellent organisational, typing and communication skills and will need to have previous experience in digital dictation or audio touch typing. Applicants also need to be accurate and reliable, with the ability to work well with people on all levels. You must be someone who has good IT skills and someone who can work effectively using your imitative in a busy paced environment, and will need to be able to commute to Luton, Bedfordshire.
Key Experience/ Characteristics of the Legal Secretary in Luton, Bedfordshire :-
* Previous experience working in the legal sector in an administrative/secretarial role is essential
* Previous experience within the Legal Property sector would be highly desirable but not essential
* Will need to have previous experience in audio or digital dictation typing
* Must be organised and be flexible in their approach to work
* Excellent typing skills are essential as well as Good IT skills
* Must have polite telephone manner with good communication skills
