An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading utilities supplier as a Communications Assistant in the” Business Ready” area of business, our client are currently seeking an Communications Assistant based in Hinkley, Leicestershire. This a full-time temporary contract for 6 months paying in the region of £23,569 equivalent to £12.25 per hour.

You will be assisting the Business Readiness team with producing communications, help produce weekly and monthly management information and status pack and you will assist to communications specialist directly. In addition to the communications support, you will also assist with general administration tasks to support the IS separation project.

The successful candidate will have the ability to think independently whilst working within an agreed Business Readiness framework.

An understanding of the core principles of providing support to users after changes have been implemented.

An appreciation of an end to end business readiness framework and how it supports the business in ensuring minimal disruption during IS system implementations.

Awareness of the organisation, business issues and activities

* Stakeholder Awareness: Able to establish and manage stakeholder engagement plans, proactively engaging with stakeholders and ensuring timely provision of information

* Communication: Demonstrates ability to communicate verbally and in writing, and to customise techniques for different situations; demonstrates active listening

* Customer Service: Gains an understanding of customer requirements through regular dialogue and effective questioning

* Team Working: Engages and networks with colleagues in other functions and fosters and open and productive way of working

* Support the level 7 work stream leads in data capture and administration tasks

* Assist in the writing of project communications.

* Produce training materials for use during training sessions (Simulations, Quick Reference Guides, Briefings)

* Co-ordinate, arrange and manage invites to sessions where business resources will need to attend (training, hardware swaps)

* Capture and translate technical documentation into concise training materials and liaise with Subject Matter Experts and testing teams throughout the content development process.

* To assist in the onboarding of staff when a system, hardware or process change has been implemented.

* Support during cutover weekends during business health checks

* Support the Post Go Live Support team in issue management and resolution

* Update and Maintain KPIs and visual management for PE

Experience & skills required

* Excellent Communication Skills

* Excellent Ability to communicate complex information in a number of different methods

* Good working knowledge of business processes

* Good team working skills

* Experience of liaising with senior members of staff, internally and externally

* Excellent organisation and administrative skills

* English or Communication degree (beneficial)

* Full Drivers Licence
