The role

As an Account Manager, you will lead our sales effort with a set of your own different customers across the UK. In this role you will grow your business acumen and strategic sales capabilities through multi-level engagements within the customer organisation which identify areas of alignment between the customers’ business needs and our current and future product portfolio.

Through individual action and deploying extensive company and partner resources, you will regularly qualify, advance and win sales opportunities while tackling and overcoming tough organisational and competitive challenges.

* Ownership and account management of allocated customers within set geographic area and orContract and non-contract activity.

* Frequency of contact based on business and customer needs

* Work in partnership with wider business & commercial team

* To work on a variety of outbound telemarketing campaigns to new and existing RM Group Customers

Key responsibilities

* Deliver personally owned account revenue and margin targets

* Deliver business initiative targets

* Ensure completion in full of all sales activities within set timeframes

* Deliver frequency of contact expectations based on business & customer requirements

* Attend exhibitions & field visits as required

* Attend quarterly sales meetings off site, travel & overnight stay required

* Embrace & Demonstrate RM Group Values & guiding principles

Skills & experience

* Previous sales experience working in outbound sales or internal sales environment preferable.

* Previous outbound calling experience would be an advantage.

* Commercially aware – ability to understand financial impact of discounting prices.

* Experience in account management, building lasting relationships.

* Experience in business planning to maximise return on time.

* Proven ability to work in a high pressure sales environment achieving sales and margin targets.

* Self-motivated, tenacious and able to handle rejection.
