Payroll / Bookkeeper
Our client based to the East of Colchester are looking to expand their payroll team.
Your new role
In this new job as a Payroll Clerk / Payroll Administrator you will join the payroll team and being responsible for processing up to 2,500 staff across various payrolls. As an experienced payroll clerk you will be expected to be aware of current payroll legislation and ideally studying or wish to study CIPP. The team process several payrolls including weekly, monthly and a pension payroll. Your normal day-to-day duties will involve starters, leavers, update staff amendments, printing & checking payslips, reconciling payroll payments and working closely with finance regarding allocating payroll costs etc. You will also deal with general payroll queries and supporting HR with payroll reports etc. Systems of experience of Sage Payroll and/or SAP would be an advantage.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have 2-years-experience in payroll demonstrating a good understanding of current payroll legislation covering SSP, Maternity & Paternity Pay, P60's P11D's, P45, Attachment of Earnings and Pension Auto Enrolment etc. Due to their location, you will need your own transport.
What you'll get in return
The organisation offers a salary of £20,000, Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 21 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, free car-parking.
