Due to the continued expansion of our private psychology services we are excited to be able to recruit a HCPC Clinical Psychologist for our practice at Warren Park, Milton Keynes. The position is advertised as part-time between the hours of 10am and 6pm two days per week. Further hours or days may be negotiable with agreement between The Practice MK and the successful candidate after 3 months employment.
The Practice MK is a private multi-disciplinary psychology practice based in Milton Keynes and provides a range of services to both private clients and the NHS for adults and children to access. We currently employee a small team of administrative staff who support our team of clinicians including psychologists, therapists and other health care practitioners.

What we are looking for?
Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or Forensic Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 and those trained abroad) as accredited by the HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology
You will have as a minimum 1 years post training experience or newly qualified with a skillset that we require.
You will require an enhanced DBS for the role dated within the past 2 years
We require a dynamic and adaptable Psychologist. You will be highly motivated, hardworking and organised individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally have experience in at least one or more of the following areas or be willing to gain experience in said areas:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder - ADOS training is required and if not trained will be provided prior to or upon starting
- Trauma (TF-CBT / EMDR)
- Children and families
You will be responsible for the planning and management of your own caseload, actively contributing to service development and providing support to junior staff members of staff (assistant psychologist).
To enhance and develop the psychological services offered by The Practice MK, based on the needs of our clients
This will include:
- Case consultations
- Team formulations
- Provide support for junior members of the team
- Psychometric Assessments
- Short- and Medium-term therapy for our clients
- Work as part of our multi-disciplinary team for complex clients including ASD
