A privately owned SME business in Carlisle require a Finance Manager to take full responsibility of the finance function. This is a number 1 finance role reporting to the MD and there will be many areas to add value and contribute to the wider business strategy.
The business has experienced impressive growth and are forecasting further expansion as part of their 5 year business plan, through entering new markets.
Your role in your new job
This is an autonomous yet hands on role, managing a small finance team. You will produce monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet, analysis and commentary and prepare annual statutory accounts, being the primary point of contact for the auditors and other external stakeholders. You will manage the budgeting process and produce periodic cash flow forecasts, advising and implementing areas for improvements.
Your experience and our requirements
Ideally, you will be technically strong and CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified although consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate sufficient levels of experience. Staff management and development experience is essential and you will be proficient in the use of MS Excel and Sage 50.
