Trainee Fruit Machine and Juke Box Engineer

This is a very exciting opportunity to enter into a new career as a fruit machine engineer. We are one of the longest running Fruit Machine, Amusement Machine and Juke Box operators in the West Midlands and are looking to take on an additional engineer to work on a full time basis. Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. The role involves a lot of travelling between sites during the day (all mileage is paid for in advance via a fuel card), so if you like a job where no two days are the same and if office jobs really aren't your sort of thing then this could be the job for you!

Essential requirements:

- Full driving license and own car (to be used for work, all mileage and expenses will be paid for in advance via a fuel card)

- Good knowledge of computers and modern technology. A knowledge of electronics would also be advantageous, but not essential.

- The individual must be physically strong enough to be able to carry a fruit machine with another person (when required).

- No criminal convictions.

- Full time UK resident eligible to live and work in the UK

- Must live in the West Midlands.

The applicant must also be hard working, punctual and have a good person-facing manner, as they will be interacting with clients on a daily basis. The role will involve a lot of driving during the day (all mileage is paid for), so the applicant must be happy being on the road. This is definitely not an office job!

NO FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED, this job really is all about the attitude of the employee.

Hours of work will be 30 hours per week (over 4 days, with one day off in the week) plus every other weekend. The weekend work however will be on an "on call" basis, where the engineer will only have to work if there is a service call from a site. Some weekends there may be several calls, some weekends there may be very few or none at all. Regardless of how many calls there are, the engineer WILL BE PAID £120 per weekend, in addition to their 30 hour working week. The day off that the engineer receives during the week is negotiable and can potentially be changed from week to week, however it cannot be a Monday or Friday as these are the busiest times for machine repair.

We are a long-standing, family run business with an excellent reputation, and this is a rare and exciting opportunity to start a new career in a role that requires no formal qualifications whatsoever to begin your training. Once again, success in this role is all down to the attitude of the applicant.
