Public Sector - Water Source Heating Scheme
South East London Area
18 month rolling contract
The project is an EU Funded landmark Water Source Heating Scheme which will provide sustainable heating to a Housing Estate in South East London.
The successful candidate will be an ONC / HNC / BSc qualified Mechanical or Building Services Engineer with a previous background in Managing the implementation and installation of Renewable Energy Schemes to large scale Residential Estates.
To project manage and act as contract administrator for a major capital planned schemes relating to all mechanical and electrical works.
Planning, managing and implementing allocated projects from the Capital and planned maintenance work programmes.
The administration of contracts, Managing the financial progression and reconciliation of projects.
Assisting as a member of the team in evaluating scheme proposals,
Undertaking feasibility studies and identifying the capital programme.
Consultation with Members and Tenants on aspects of building services contracts.
To be responsible for the full range of engineering design and maintenance work from feasibility to final accounts, and the programmed maintenance and renewal of building services, and related technical client functions.
Ensuring the progression of all works in full compliance with Health & safety legislation.
To undertake and manage resident liaison to ensure the progress of projects
To undertake the responsibilities of an Engineer including carrying out investigations and preparing designs for installations, developing contract documentation, preparing drawings, specifications, schedules, minutes, reports, brochures and briefs, tendering contracts and acting as contract administrator.
To prepare project programmes, including assessing staff requirements in conjunction with the Engineering Team Leader, monitoring and updating the programmes as required and co-ordinating to ensure programme objectives are achieved.
To act/assist as Principal Designer on projects as assigned. To advise the Client on the competency and resources of assigned contractors and designers. To prepare pre-contract health and safety plan and to facilitate the production and implementation of a health and safety file.
To be responsible for issuing instructions to contract administrators and contractors, senior professional and housing management staff on matters relating to capital projects and programmed works.
To monitor schemes progress, take corrective action as necessary and be responsible for achieving successful implementation, making site visits as necessary.To monitor and control scheme and programme expenditure including authorising fee payments and
