SEN Learning Support Assistant- ASC and Complex Needs

Are you based in the Rochdale area?

Do you have experience of working with children and young adults in a residential, care setting or in your personal life?

Are you looking for a regular pattern of work between the hours of 8:30 and 4:00?

Empowering Learning are seeking a Learning Support Assistant- ASC and Complex Needs for an immediate start!

Classroom experience is not essential but a good understanding of Autism, how best to support individuals with a diagnosis of ASC and complex needs along with a passion for helping students with a variety of needs reach their full potential is.

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to have:

* The ability to motivate and inspire all pupils to learn.

* Excellent communication skills.

* The experience of supporting children and young adults with a complex needs.

* The ability to provide a supportive and engaging learning environment.

* Willingness to provide elements of personal care.

* Team Teach qualified (training can be provided)

The Successful applicant for the role of SEN Learning Support Assistant – ASC and complex needs will be supporting teaching and learning across the school, providing general support in the management of pupils, as directed by the class teacher. You must be able to promote and maintain a culture of high expectations for self and others and have the enthusiasm and energy required to help students achieve their full potential. In return you will receive continuous CPD the opportunity of team teach training, support from an experience staff team with an opportunity to further your career and the ability to work in an environment where every day is different.
