Manual Machinist





The Role

The role is for a Manual Machinist to machine components to tight tolerances for the automotive industry and other general engineering industries. You will also be responsible for the machining of these components from engineering drawings using conventional machinery including manual lathes and manual milling machines.

* Producing small batch components for the automotive industry and others from engineering drawings.

* Operating various conventional machinery including manual turning machines and manual milling machines.

* Inspect your own work and act as a key member of the business and driving it forward.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will have the following attributes; You will be apprentice trained in machining (preferably with experience operating manual milling machines and manual turning machines). Preferably you will have at least seven years of experience in a similar role and must be able to operate manual milling machines and manual lathes from engineering drawings to machine components. Previous experience machining components for the automotive industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
