TeacherHub are currently looking for Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants to work in an alternative provision in Wiltshire, working with students who have Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and challenging behaviours. As a Teaching Assistant you will be working with students in KS3 and KS4 who have been or who are at risk of exclusion, therefore you must be confident in working with challenging behaviours. Your day to day duties will include:

- Collecting the student from their home in Pusley and transporting to the alternative provision in Trowbridge

- Supporting students across the curriculum in the classroom, which may include 1 to 1 work or small group work

- Working with the classroom teacher to ensure that students understand the work and activities set

- Monitoring the progress of pupils and providing necessary feedback to the SENCO and Teacher

- Working across the curriculum with a variety of students with various learning needs

To be considered for this exciting SEN Teaching Assistant role, you will need the following experience:

- Team Teach or Manual Handling would be advantageous but not essential

- At least 3 months classroom experience

- Up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and classroom management

- An understanding of Special Educational Needs and the barriers Learning Disabilities may have to learning

Our client is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team in Wiltshire, working 5 days a week, to start immediately.
