The role of the Desktop Support Analyst is to provide Desktop Support during the adoption of the Salesforce platform throughout the St. James’s Place community. This will include helping users equip their devices to be ready for Salesforce adoption - operating system and Office suite changes will be required. On occasion there will be a project focused requirement where on location support may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To proactively roll out Salesforce to the user community in support of the Salesforce implementation program

  • Work with the project team to agree the schedule of roll out to new users

  • Provide desktop support to enable the adoption of Salesforce

  • Work internally and with third-party providers to facilitate the appropriate education and training of staff involved in the support process

  • To provide 2nd and 3rd line desktop support to users as required

    Required Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to maintain and build relationships between the support function and end user

  • Ability to handle difficult user conversations both in person and over the telephone

  • A strong problem solver to successfully diagnose and resolve issues

  • An effective listen to ensure the right questions are asked

    Required Technical Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Salesforce cloud platform

  • Windows desktop operating systems (7 onwards)

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and peripherals

  • Knowledge of networking and security practices including anti-virus and threat detection

  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions

  • Knowledge of best practice hardware maintenance techniques
