We are currently recruiting for a leading manufacturing and Engineering company based in Northampton, they are seeking to employ on a permanent basis, an experienced Electrical Maintenance Fitter/Engineer, the role offers excellent remuneration and job security.

Salary ranging from £30k to £36k dependant on experience.

Hours of Work: rotating shift pattern 2pm to 10pm / 6am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. Overtime will be available so a willingness and flexibility to undertake overtime is very important;

The successful applicant will ideally come from an industrial engineering background and will have hands on and recent experience of working with temperature controlled industrial furnaces/ovens and time controller circuits, settings and programmes (a recent working knowledge of switchgears, controllers, PLC’s and CNC controlled circuits, hoists).

The ideal candidate must be able to carry out Planned and Reactive maintenance schedules and prioritise workloads. Fault finding skills and an understanding of schematics is essential. Ideally applicants will be apprentice trained, hold City and Guilds Technician Certificate in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or hold BTec in Electrical Engineering, desirable to hold 17th Edition, multi-skill (electrical/mechanical with electrical bias) an advantage.
