Occupational Therapist - Learning Disabilities
Piers Meadows are recruiting for Occupational Therapists to join an exciting project working with young people with learning disabilities.
The programme helps to support 16 - 25 year olds with special educational needs become more independent and achieve their aspirations in adult life.
You will be based at one of our client's college sites across London and Surrey.
Those with experience working with caseloads including paediatrics, learning disabilities OR neurological disorders will be an ideal fit for the team.
Duties will include, but are not limited able to:
- Offering support with daily living activities, self- care, practical skills and eating and drinking difficulties
- Sourcing specialist equipment for the college when required
- Providing advice to meet student's sensory needs
- Working closely with other therapists, nurses and teachers to provide holistic and continuous support throughout the student's time at the college
You must have a degree/diploma or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be HCPC registered to be eligible for this role.
