Sales Operations Manager (On Trade)

A Sales Operations Manager (On Trade) is needed to join one of the largest family-owned and family-run wine importers in the UK. Working collaboratively with the sales organisation the primary purpose of the Sales Operations team is to help drive strategic business planning and growth initiatives.

With over 50 years' experience, 200 members of staff and an award-winning portfolio of over 1,400 wines, our client has built an enviable reputation for placing world-renowned wines. Due to continued success they are now seeking a Sales Operations Manager to manage and lead a support function to drive salesforce efficiency and productivity across the business.

Working collaboratively with the Senior Sales Directors the Sales Operations Manager (On Trade) will be responsible for the development, testing and roll-out of sales productivity tools to the sales teams, in addition to ensuring the sales teams members are educated on the tools needed to do their job. Whether you are creating and managing the roll-out of sales performance analysis and reporting dashboards, working with the On Trade Sales Director to deliver targeted sales activities, optimising lead generation, pipeline management and performance tracking to increase efficiency, providing vital support during the tender process for regional and national accounts or managing the team that provides a range of administrative support to the field sales teams, it will be your professional and organised approach that will ensure our clients strategic expansion plans are delivered.

To qualify. You should be a Sales Operations Manager / On Trade Sales Operations Manager / Operation Manager or similar with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Considerable experience working in a similar Sales Operations role;
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) is highly desirable;
  • Proven track record of delivering sales projects to a consistently high standard and on forecast;
  • Proven ability to monitor and review forecasts;
  • Management experience, including performance reviews and KPI setting;
  • Ability to form understand, interpret and enforce business processes;
  • Ability to influence and motivate a team in order to achieve directives set by the business.
