Role: Account Manager

Location: Bedfordshire Covering South East area

Package: circa. £38,000 + bonus structure, car allowance & fuel card/mileage

Well, our client is a highly reputable business that has sustained growth for more than 20 years - built on the values of excellent customer service, quality and integrity. They are now on the lookout for an experienced Account Manager to cover the South East area of England.

The successful Account Manager will be responsible for securing sales, customer satisfaction and loyalty to the brand within their territory, including both existing customers and prospect customers. Providing monthly outlook, plan & review and forecasts, maintaining a pipeline consistent with business requirements. You will work with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders to optimise account development and retention.

This is a full time, permanent position which offers a competitive salary and benefits package, inclusive of a bonus scheme, a monthly car allowance, company mobile, company laptop, pension scheme, childcare vouchers, 20 days holiday and Bank Holidays.

Key responsibilities for the Account Manager:

- Manage and expand current customers by selling core ranges and engaging the correct specialists within the team to provide the best Customer experience within the given territory.

- Drive both short-term sales whilst developing and implementing long term strategies with the engagement of the appropriate colleagues to pursue and capture more complex and/or strategic opportunities, including Capital purchases of high-end product range and tender opportunities.

- Engage customer and prospect accounts at all levels (shop floor through to Board where appropriate) to understand strategic objectives and operational priorities of the business and to communicate the company value proposition to all levels.

- Grow profitable revenue by introducing new products/services and solutions to solve customers business problems and/or capture new opportunities.

- Ensure the successful resolution of customer satisfaction issues supported by the appropriate internal stakeholders.

- Personal accountability for the attainment of the Territory Sales and Gross Profit (GP) budget.

- Preparation and delivery of professional and accurate proposals, presentations, sales order paperwork through to the customer and internal support team.

Requirements of the Account Manager:

- Successful selling experience, preferably in capital goods.

- Excellent territory management, solution sales and closing skills.

- Ability to successfully sell and present to client executive levels.

- Knowledge of the food industry if an advantage, but not essential.

- Full driving licence with own vehicle.
