Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a working with a large, well established media company based in East Croydon who are looking for a Business Partnering Accountant to join their team.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Partnering, and working alongside another Business Partnering Accountant.

Key duties include:

  • Month end reporting, ensuring timely and accurate production of management reporting, with detailed analysis of major variances against budgets and forecasts
  • Production of forecasts and budgets working in support of commercial business
  • Business Partnering including decision support for divisional Managing Directors
  • Assisting with finance integration of acquisitions and implementation of new systems and business processes
  • Part qualified or finalist with strong accounting skills and experience.
  • Produce monthly Management Accounts and KPI’s for business media and consumer media brands - magazines, events and conferences
  • Produce forecasts and budgets for the above
  • Business partner to business MD’s
  • Improve & maintain systems & business processes. Identify efficiencies, cost saving opportunities and revenue enhancing opportunities
  • Assisting in integrating new businesses
  • Based in our Croydon office with occasional travel to our other offices Shoreditch and Gunnersbury (the cost of travel between offices will be reimbursed)

Essential skills:

  • Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) Graduate Accountant
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commerce and industry
  • Media experience, ideally in publishing or similar, strongly desired
  • Bright, keen, proactive self-starter with a passion for improving systems and processes, identifying efficiencies, cost saving opportunities and revenue enhancing opportunities
  • Commercial, interested in business and in adding value to commercial managers thinking
  • Experience of liaising with non-finance staff and building relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Logical thinker with good problem solving abilities
  • Hard working, organised and efficient with a passion for the detail
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Calm under pressure with prior experience of producing high quality work to deadlines
  • Good team player & strong inter-personal skills

Desirable skills:

  • 1st time passes in accountancy exams
  • Academic (e.g. 2.1 degree or above)

Salary £35,000 to £36,000 DOE plus excellent company benefits
