Engineering Instructor/Assessor (Electrical)
Circa £29k to £31k depending on experience

Our client is a leading Engineering/Motor Vehicle Apprentice Training provider, based in Brighouse.
They are the largest and most successful private Engineering Apprentice Training Provider in West Yorkshire, an Ofsted Grade 2 Provider (March 2017).

In business for four decades, they are here to assist you whatever your ambition is in Engineering or Motor Vehicle terms.
They have relationships with literally hundreds of local manufacturing, engineering and automotive Employers in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication & Welding and Electrical Engineering as well as with Motor Vehicle opportunities.

You must be able to deliver the following qualifications with teaching experience in there areas:
Level 1 Diploma in Engineering & Manufacture
Level 2 Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations
Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Operations
Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundaton Competence)

Purpose of Job

Ensure a safe learning environment is maintained in the Skills Training Centre and in company
Train and assess learners in a range of basic and specialist skills to the standard required by relevant award bodies to levels 1,2,3 EAL
Provide advice and support to learners and their employers throughout the apprenticeship. On going assessment of evidence produced towards NVQ and functional skills qualifications

Key Tasks

Observe safe training guidelines/procedures
Ensure coverage of training programmes as laid down by awarding bodies
Safety, welfare and safeguarding of learners within own section/training area/caseload
Maintain discipline in skills training centre
Implement and maintain stock control and inventories of equipment, tools and materials necessary for the correct training
Competition of learner review/6 week reports/term reports in line with company policy
Supervise overall function of areas of responsibility in house – keeping, discipline, timekeeping, attitudes and safety
Attendance at careers events representing the clients business and learning programmes
Assessment of relevant qualifications in line with awarding body requirements
Perform related and other duties as required by skills training manager/team leader

Assessor qualification (A units)
Verification qualifications (V units)
IOSH managing safely qualification
