WELFARE RIGHTS ASSISTANT MACMILLAN CANCER PROJECT

Argyll and Bute Council is working in partnership with MacMillan Cancer Support to provide a specialist income maximisation service to residents, their families or carers who are affected by cancer and live within the Argyll and Bute area.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic individual with experience of welfare benefits and advice services to work with people affected by cancer.
The successful candidate will provide independent benefits information and advice to clients via face-to-face, over the phone, during home visits or in outreach locations.
The successful candidate will have experience in a welfare benefits related field together with excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
The preferred location for the post is in Dunoon but other locations within Argyll and Bute may be considered.
This is a temporary post until 31/03/2021, 35 hours per week worked Monday to Friday (9am -5pm)Applicants should note that :-

This is a temporary post which may be filled on a secondment basis by an employee wishing to gain experience/career development and will be at the discretion of the employee’s director.
