Position: Account Director
Our client based in Hook in Hampshire is looking to add an Account Director to their successful team.
Drive the development of compelling campaigns for clients and prospects, translating corporate aims and objectives into relevant yet creative campaigns with the aim of increasing revenue and improving client satisfaction, whilst taking full responsibility for the team’s financial planning, resource management and reporting.
Responsible for creating and maintaining PR, content, digital and social media plans and campaigns with demonstrable results for all accounts within their team
Engage in and ensures a strategic relationship with the client, providing insight and partnership across all aspects of the PR, content, digital and social spectrum
Responsible for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels;
Collaborate with Account Manager to agree KPIs, deadlines and service agreements
Work with Senior Client Director to develop existing accounts by identifying and securing upsell opportunities, and managing and negotiating client renewal
Act as internal lead for the on-boarding process for key accounts, ensuring that the team are fully briefed on the campaign targets, objectives and strategy.
Ensure retention and satisfaction of all client accounts within the team, flagging major issues and recommended course of action to Senior Client Director.
Attend all monthly, quarterly and annual meetings, plus weekly calls for key accounts ensuring that the Account Manager and team is fully briefed and that follow-up materials are accurate and sent.
Lead workshops for selected accounts
Media Relations, Content, Social & Digital
Utilises in-depth knowledge of traditional and emerging media landscape and share such knowledge with team members to the benefit of the client base.
Recognises and creates media opportunities for the client in line with wider industry activity
Use own network to create and maximise client coverage, advising on potential narrative, storytelling and thought leadership opportunities
Maximises their team’s understanding of current affairs by promoting a commitment to understanding the news agenda
Oversees the creation of high quality and engaging content, providing knowledgeable quality control and guidance to content creation team
Works with the Head of Content to improve own and others’ knowledge of content trends to ensure ongoing relevance
Works with Account Manager and clients to develop and implement an impactful content strategy
Use social media to recognise trends and proactively promote new tools, solutions and processes to continuously evolve and optimise client PR campaigns
Provides social media insight as well as strategic management of client social and digital activity
Working with the Head of Sales and Senior Client Director, support and contribute to major pitches and new business projects while taking the lead on entry-level opportunities (review handbook and identify which accounts this would be relevant)
