Altum Consulting are partnering with a non-profit organisation to find a Payroll Officer to join their finance team on an interim basis of 1 month. This is a unique opportunity for a short term contract that could potentially lead to a permanent opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process payment for staff members, ensuring that tax codes, deducations and any other adjustments are in line with HMRC guidelines
  • Prepare and post payroll summaries to the nominal ledger
  • Reconcile control accounts and loan accounts on a monthly basis
  • Produce monthly debit statements
  • Deal with queries from employees
  • Run the payroll year-end routine

Candidate Profile:

  • Immediately available
  • Experience processing payroll
  • Highly numerate and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of tax, NI and pensions
  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Pro-active individual
