FABULOUS NEW role at leading Harrogate company. Our client is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to work in a small but, busy team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the main objective of this role is to assist the department in all purchasing functions:
Key responsibilities include:
Monitor stock levels v usage and order as required aiming to ensure no stock outs on key lines
Work with suppliers to negotiate best terms, cost savings, inventory levels and stock turns
Co-ordinate with all internal departments as required regarding the supply of goods
Consolidate shipments to keep freight costs to a minimum
Perform daily general office tasks as required - attention to detail is a must!
Work within business guidelines and procedures
Notify MD of any safety hazards
To be considered for this position the successful candidate will ideally have;
Previous Purchase Admin experience is essential
Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
Attention to detail, good administration skills, ability to work on own initiative
Good MS Office skills
A flexible and adaptable team member
Good communication skills
