Scope of the Role

As an Assistant Buyer for our own brand portfolio, you will be responsible for researching identifying and sourcing new product opportunities and manage existing product categories, ensuring communication of information, optimising of product range, being first to market with new innovative products and maximising the sales/margin in all available channels, while ensuring an efficient stock turn. It is important that you have a keen interest in product.

Essential Experience
  • Previous experience in a commercial industry, electronics desirable but not essential
  • Proven track record in range management and development, alongside producing effective brand strategies
  • A degree in business / marketing / project management is desired but not essential

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting Buyer in fulfilling tasks
  • Sourcing and selecting new products, reviewing current ranges and managing product lifecycles
  • Product development to meet demand/trends identified through internal, market, competitor and customer insight
  • Managing supply base
  • Negotiating prices to ensure Kondor ranges are competitive and profitable
  • Ensuring Kondor is first to market and products are launched on time
  • Responsible for returns, contracts, packaging, product certification and shipping agreements
  • Required to manage and analyse category KPI reporting and make recommendations to Head of Category
  • Administration tasks where required
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics and Compliance and the DCC Group Code of Conduct
