Our client, based in London, is currently recruiting for a Director of Housing and Support on a permanent basis. Our client has been in operation for over 30 years and has grown exponentially over the last five years. They are an innovative leader in delivering a range of support and housing services around the UK for young people and adults at risk of homelessness.

The position is due to start in April on a full time basis. The salary on offer is negotiable based on experience for this position.

The ideal candidate will need to have worked in a similar position before, however this requirement can be flexible.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

* Accountable for 2 Area Directors, a Mental Health Team Leader, Senior Client Involvement and a Participation Manager

* Responsible for appointing and inspiring staff within the directorate to meet the needs and benefits of young people, adults at risk and families

* Implement changes to budgets or service models, where services are not sustainable or secure

* Effectively manage the Housing and Support Senior Team to achieve high standards of service delivery to clients in line with the key success targets of the organisation

* Manage all the residential and dispersed housing and support contracts and services

* Lead the organisation’s Mental Health and Wellbeing Team and the strategic leadership of the clients Participation programme

* Ensure high standards of housing management practice to minimise voids, arrears and maximise rental income generation and occupancy

* The successful candidate must have a strong managerial background of building high performance teams

Knowledge/Skills/Experience/Expertise required:

* The successful candidate must have a strong managerial background of building high performance teams

* Significant experience of operating at a strategic level within an organisation delivering public sector commissioned services * Significant experience of delivering housing and support services to young people and/or adults at risk, with demonstrable knowledge of prevention and homelessness issues and trends

* Significant experience of programme management including how to replicate and scale effective models of good practice, using internal and external good practice and "lessons learnt" to deliver improvements

* Able to develop, manage and measure a performance culture, including strong experience of managing and leading change

* Ability to apply both investment for growth and cost savings to drive organisational efficiency
